M usic ff Awww Wayte Kirchner Leonard John The appreciation of fine music, the continued im- provement of skills, the search and training of musi- cally talented people, and the satisfaction of group presentations, were all ways in which the Sheldon Music Department expressed itself. The music offerings at Sheldon were extensive. The Concert and Stage Bands were directed by Leonard John, and student director Bill Maris led the Pep Band. A Cappella, Dublinaires, and Girls' Choir were conducted by Wayte Kirchner. Paul Stofft was lead- er of the Orchestra. Driver Sducafim Gayle Laudenslager Sound driving habits, skills, and attitudes were de- veloped in Drivers' Education. Students obtained ex- perience by actually driving, and by watching films

An expanding dynamic Science Depart- ment offered courses in Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The chief aim of the Science Department was to encourage intelligent generaliza- tion based on data and logic.
