Homecoming and Hobo Day featured a motley crew of students partici- pating in many exciting and different activities. The freshmen, clad in various required cos tumes, were formally initiated into high school. Below: Becky Merrill, Jim Hoel, Mary Swenson, Lenard Martin, and Betty Bartels were a few of the ‘‘oppressed.’’ After the adjournment of Kangaroo Court, the students raised their voices in support of their team at the pep rally, above. The parade, Snake dance, and bonfire also exhibited the enthusiasm of the day. Queen Carla May was crowned at the pre-game ceremony, but the outcome of the game was disappointing for the Orabs bowed to the Estherville Midgets.
