Their new coach, fine spirit, and good playing produced Shelbyls best regular season record in seventeen years with 16 wins and 4 losses. They also added two well-earned trophies to the case in the front hall. By Winning the Holiday Tournament for the second consecu- tive year they retired the trophy permanently and a split with Southport for the South Central Con- ference championship put another trophy beside the rest in the case. Our hats are also off to the three other fine teams of the school. They are the youth that will repre- sent Shelbyville in later years as members of future Varsity teams.
