Senior Hisfory The Seniors have now finished fheir four years of grand old high school days. We are proud fo acclaim fhaf we sfarfed in as fhe largesf class in fhe high school. and we finished as fhe largesf class. Our class has had lofs of differenf experiences. Our firsf fhree picnics were held on a baseball diamond wifh a lof of pigs. We finally graduafed fo Lifhia. We have always been well represenfed in afhlefics. ln one foofball game, Johnnie fhoughf his wrisf was brolcen buf if really wasn'f, or af leasf he could move if. Our Junior class play, which we wanfed fo be a glorious memory forever, didn'f furn ouf so. for fhe casf. We gof fhe second acf fwisfed so we made if a four acf play insfead of fhree, fhus geffing fhe carf before fhe horse. We had lofs of fun geffing ready for fhe Junior-Senior banquef. We didn'f have much money fo spend. buf we were defermined fo make if fhe besf banquef yef. We decided fo have an old fashioned garden, so by using shrubs as decorafions and having an arfificial moon, fhe finish was really quife effecfive and we Juniors were very proud of ourselves. And fhen, we arrived al' our Senior year, sfill hanging on wifh Mr. Baffershell as advisor. The annual and fhe class play were our loiggesf ioys and worries. Mr. Baffershell, Miss Shuclc, Miss Corley, and Miss Ruff successfully pilofed us fhrough fhose, and looking baclc, we feel 'rhaf all four years have been very successful. ful

During The lasT year, The Council has Taken on several new and useTul duTies. Three commiTTees have been Tormed, namely, The program, aThleTic and social commiTTees. The program commiTTee, wiTh Rosemary CompTon as chairman, has provided assembly programs ThroughouT The year. The social commiTTee, wiTh Maxine Barbee as chairman, arranged a Trip To a TooTball game aT Champaign, and The Homecoming parade. The aThleTic commiTTee, wiTh RoberT Pugh as chairman, was responsible Tor pep meeTings and decoraTions Tor aThleTic evenTs. OTher ouTsTand- ing achievemenTs have been carried ouT by The organizaTion7 iT sponsored The Shelby- ville Homecomingq iT organized The l-li-NoTes sTaTf: iT recommended ThaT newspapers and magazines be placed in The assembly Tor The use aT all sTudenTsq iT inTroduced The idea of an elecTion campaign, which was successTully carried ouT.
