Out president, Jerry Smith, and his officers, Charles Milton, vice president, Peggy Jo Hill, secretary, and Norma Zae Segroves, treasurer, took the leadership of the 1958-59 sophomore class. The Student Council Representatives elected were Gaylon Rogers, Jerry Smith, Norma Zae Segroves, and Betty Phillips. Charles Milton and Betty Phillips were the delegates to the PTSA. The sponsors who have helped us in our many activities, such as Harvest Festival, homecoming float, and sophomore party are Mrs. Barnes, Mrs. Breast, Mrs. Cathey, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Hoover, Miss Kingree, Mrs. Langford, and Miss Thomas. Representing the sophomore class as Harvest Festival candidates were Carol Walls, queen, Frank Bobo, king, Punky Brantley, princess, and Harold Segroves, prince. We sponsored several contests at the Harvest Festival, one of which was the Hula-hoop contest. ,B Q s s l s s R . s Q The theme for the sophomore float in the homecoming parade was Eagles' 'Spirit Gonna Rise To- night. Wilma .lean Bragg was selected to represent her classmates as attendant to the Homecoming queen.
