' ,,79ep24leq,..P Homecoming activities began on the Thursday night before the big day with a bonfire and pep rally on the practice field. Homecoming day, which, incidentally, was Halloween, was filled with excitement . . . adding the finishing touches to the floats, the pep rally on the square, and the parade. Janis Orr, captain of the cheerleaders, reigned over the festivities. The members of her court were Martha Cooper, senior, Diana Gowen, iunior, Wilma Jean Bragg, sophomore, and Carey Gates Thomas, freshman. Immediately following the parade, a deluge of rain fell . . . causing the garne to be postponed until Saturday night. Janis was crowned by Captain Gail Luna during the half of the McMinnville City game, the outcome of which was a I3-I3 tie. WINNING FLOAT The winning float was entered by the Senior Y-Teens.
