Prom ' 69 Gone with the wind This Spring on Saturday evening, April l9, 1969, the Shelby faculty, juniors and seniors jour- neyed back in time to an era which has since Gone With the Wind. The old South was relived as the banquet was held inside a stately old colonial mansion with fireplaces, Confederate flags, and faint strains of the old War tune, Dixie After the banquet music was provided by the girls' sextet, Dennis Linn read the senior class Will, and the sophomore servers presented the skit. Next the southern belles and gentlemen retired into a colonial garden where the Old South turned modern with the sounds of The Highwaymenf' When the clock struck 12:30, the age ol the Civil War was upon them when the movie, Major Dundee, started.
