This year, as every year, the Art Dept. kept busy by bring- ing the lovely arty touches to the school to make it such an enjoyable place! s These students competed in the humorous. dramatic, and oratorical division. They are Csecrtedj LaRee Ehlers, Iean Volkens, Linda Stuhr, Virginia Chipman, JoAnn Short. Standing: Sue Kiesel, Iulie Boeck, Pat Dea, Debbie Davis, Bernice Schumacher, Mr. McBride, Linda Stuhr and Virginia Chipman received I's at the district contest and later competed at the state contest where they received Il's. Speech Pictured at right, Pat Dea and Carol Peters who com peted in the American Legion Speech Contest on the Constitution. Pat received second place in the local con test, while Carol took first. Carol then went on to win the county contest, and placed third in the district. During the year, The Blue-Iay Players from the Iowa Western Community College pre- sented the play, The Bald Soprano, They are pictured at left.
