Prom '68 Hillllvrrg GPIB T nglanif' On Friday night, April l9, 1968, the Shelby faculty, juniors, and seniors visited England, old and new, in the forrn of their prom, The juniors selected Merry Old England for their theme and carried it out by building a castle, drawbridge, and moat. The banquet was held in the large dining hall of an old English castle, while candlelight and the flickering lights of the fireplace set' the mood. The serene setting was followed by music by the girls' sextet, and the Faculty Four. The Senior Will and Prophecy was read by Rick Iensen and LaVerne Evans. Merry Mod England broke the relaxed silence next as a partition was drawn back to reveal a glittery discotheque, alive with the music of the Marauders. The dance lasted until 12:30 when the movie, Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round started. A beautiful night came to a close as break- fast was served by the thoughtful firemen of Shelby.
