unior- enior rom Singing in The Rain was The Theme for The Junior-Senior Prom held SaTurclay. April 29Th. The decoraTions conveying The Theme consisfed of hanging umbrellas, grass-surrounded ponds and rain covered rose Trees. The ceiling and walls were done in blue and silver crepe. CenTerpieces on The Tables were umbrella carTs filled wiTh flowers. NuT cups were Tiny parosol's and sprinkling cans. The banqueT, which was prepared by The junior moThers, was served in The gym aT 6:30 p.m. The delicious meal consisTed of juice and crackers, rolled Turlcey, mashed poTaToes and gravy, dressing. creamed peas, and whiTe cake Topped wiTh cherries and whip cream. The meal was served by Ten sophomores. They were Paula Messerschmidf, Deanna Young, Yvonne Henry, Terri Wolfe. Lorrie Anderson, Jeff Rihner, Dennis Linn, Dave DiTTmer, Doug Blumer, and Larry Balsfer. The girls were dressed in rainbow-colored pinafores. while The boys wore black panTs and shirTs To maTch The pinafores. Following The dinner. Nancy Evans. iunior class presidenfr, gave a welcome speech. Senior class presidenT. Chuck MarTens followed wiTh a shorT response. The sophomores Then presenTed a delighfful skiT, which depicTed a few of The funny land embarassingl momenTs of The pasT year. The girls' sexTeT Then sang Singing in The Rain, and April Love. Following These num- bers, Linda Paul sang WiThouT a Song. The Senior Class Prophecy was Then read by Bob Krohn, followed by The reading of The Senior Class Will by Allen PeTerson. AfTer a brief infermission, a dance was held in The gym. Music for The dance was provided by The X-T-C's Combo. The movie Beach ParTy was shown affer The dance followed by a breakfasT served by The businessmen.

According To original plans, The group was To spend Thursday in Colorado Springs: buT due To a snowsTorm, The roads were blocked, and The class wenT righT To Denver. They arrived in Denver aT lO:3O A.M. Thursday. During Their Trip To Denver, They sTayed aT The Colorado HoTel. Thursday aTTernoon, The group visiTed The Museum, The UniTed STaTes MinT. The capiTol. and The Denver Zoological CenTer, in drenching rain. ThaT nighT The Seniors wenT To The LiTTle BanqueT Room Tor dinner. ATTer a brieT shopping spree and a drive Through Lare- mir STreeT lThe famous slcidrowl, They reTurned To The hoTel. The Seniors Then had Tree Time unTil midnighT. Wax 1967 enior Qlaoo grip Because of The snow Thursday nighT, The group was sTill unable To Travel To Colorado Springs on Friday: so everyone had The morning Tree To go shopping or To iusT sleep. AT l2:3O They checked ouT oT The hoTel and Then The Trip really began as They sTarTed Their climb Through The mounTains. Places Toured were Red Rock Park, amphiTheaTer, LookouT MounTain To see Buffalo Bill's Grave. CenTral CiTy and a spooky ride down l.arriaT Trail. AT 4:30 P.M. The class reTurned To Denver. and sadly sTarTed Their Trip back home. They arrived in Shelby aT 6:45 SaTurday morning. April I5.
