H Malotte 'ind To Thee We Sing bv P Thach won for them new recognition 'ls choir singers for all of Shelby s churches the flrst Sundas in March The Easter program was perhaps the most outstanding event that the Glee Clubs were privileged to participate in It wa The Seven Last Word of Christ b Theo Dubois The church choirs again were a part of this commumts program The Spring Musical The Garden of Remembrance will be remembered in long years to come Songs from the light operas and cla ical selections bx out standing composers were sung in a very lovely garden setting The soloists were Ruth Schultz Lois Hendrick Miss Aldrich Harold Weaver Walter Abbott Lawrence Skinner Marshall Franke and Robert Pochxla Others rn duet and small ensembles were Wilma Best Marilyn Fleming Clara Martin Lottie Makin and Dorothy Babinec Joyce Billingsley Eleanor Dvkstra Glorra Birkness. and Joxce Swanson were chorus members Both Glorra Brrltness and Joyce bwanson assi ted with their vrolrn and flute The Glee Clubs were under the direction of Mrs August Wlarx q l ' , , . y y n , . , J , A .
