The members of the Board of Education have the responsibility of providing an educational plan and plant for the children of school age in this community. Shelby has been fortunate in having a group of men who are dedicated to the responsibility of their task and have done their work well. They have recommended new and additional buildings from time to time and then have pre- sented thcsc proposals to the citizens oi the ronunuuity, On other pages of this hook are pic- tures oi buildings that have become a reality to the children and teachers of this school system. The members of the Board of Education have provided well for the development of each and every youngster and young person attending Shelby schools today. McCullough has been principal of Shelby High School for the past fourteen years. Mr. McCollough's helplul advice and friendly attitude to all students has gained for him the respect ol all - students and faculty alike.
