The Shelby Tri-Hi-Y organization was cont- posecl of sixty-nine girls from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes. This was the thircl year of activities lor the group. ln cooperation with the Shelby I-Ii-Y and the Family Y. lil. C. A. the club took part in many activities including a project lor Xvorld Service, working toward an honor club, participating in various youth conferences, and sponsoring the auuual Snowball at the Christmas season. This last project was in the form of a formal dance heltl at the Central Gymnasium on Mon- tlay night, December 23. This was truly a gala event and was attended by over two hundred couples. Last August the newly elected officers of the organization were sent to Camp Nelson Dodd, a Y. M. C. A. camp, for instructions in carrying' our the tluties of the various offices of the club. , F. F. A. The Shelby F. F. A. was started seven years ago and has a Wide variety of yearly activities. Three boys-Jack white, Dave Young, and Bill Trout - attended the Muskingum State F. F. A. Camp for one week in july. All members participate in the F. F. A. farm- ing program, which consists of twenty acres lo- cated east of Shelby on route 96. The members of Shelby's team at the Parlia- mentary Procedure Contest, which was held at Bellville on Nov. l3, were jack White, Bill Trout, Ed Miller, Charles Bonecutter, james Finnegan, jerry Kreinbrink, Nick Krcinhrink, Carl Mfincly, Kenny Barber, and jerry Fagan.
