F. H. A. CFUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICIU The Shelby Chapter of the Future Homemak- ers of America is a chartered unit of the Ohio Association of the F. H. A., which is chartered by the national organilation of the Future Homemakers of America. There are two de- grees of achievements for active membersltips - namely: junior Homemaker and Chapter Home- maker. The F. H. A. girls sponsored a bake sale, attended two county rallies, and prepared randy Officers of the Shelby F. and popcorn balls for noon sales at the school. Three ol' the members attended the annual F. H. A. summer camp in August as representa- tives ol the Shelby Chapter. They were Janice Ferrell, Ruth lvorkmau, and Lee Anne Riden- Ollll. ln january the club held at formal initiation in the school cafeteria. New members were formal- ly accepted into the organization. , F. F. A. The Shelby F. F. A. was started seven years ago and has a Wide variety of yearly activities. Three boys-Jack white, Dave Young, and Bill Trout - attended the Muskingum State F. F. A. Camp for one week in july. All members participate in the F. F. A. farm- ing program, which consists of twenty acres lo- cated east of Shelby on route 96. The members of Shelby's team at the Parlia- mentary Procedure Contest, which was held at Bellville on Nov. l3, were jack White, Bill Trout, Ed Miller, Charles Bonecutter, james Finnegan, jerry Kreinbrink, Nick Krcinhrink, Carl Mfincly, Kenny Barber, and jerry Fagan. The chapter's yearly trips, listed according to the class participating and the season involved, are as follows: Detroit, Freshman during Christmas Vacation Chicago, International Livestock Show, Sophomores during Thanksgiving Washington, D, C., Juniors during summer Kansas City, Seniors during Oct.
