STUDENT COUNCIL The student body of Shelby High School is best represented in the Student Council, which is composed of at representative from each horne- rootn plus the Sopltontore, junior, and Senior class officers. The Student Council is very active in school affairs the year round. Among these are: conducting school elections, planning all the Hotnerotning festivities, holding dances twice weekly in the gytnnasiunt fan innovation this yearj, sponsoring assemblies and the Ret:- ognition Day program, and sending flowers at tinte of bereavement. One of the Councils largest operations is ob- taining advertisements from loral merchants and businessmen for football programs, and then selling these programs at each honte game. The profit front this sale is used to finanre the Coun- t'il's activities througltout the year. The officers elected for this year are: Bob Sltedenhehn. presidentg Wayne jackson, vice- presidentg Nancy Cooke, sct'retat'y3 joy Boor, treasurer.
