Jeremy Smith (staff) The 1987-88 yearbook theme “Off the Wall was chosen by the yearbook staff because we felt it described the students, our school and the school year “Off the Wall means different, unique. We are proud of the many ways our school is different from any other. Likewise, we are proud of our individual differences that make each of us special. By using our unique skills and abilities, we accomplished a lot during the school year. Our community passed a bond issue to improve the school, and it formed the Booster Club. Mrs. Mitchell won a teaching award. Our football team upset David City, a rated C-1 team. The one-act play cast earned a superior rating. The juniors brought a live band back to prom. Mr. Shanahan's study hall was commended for thinking and questioning by a representative of the Smithsonian Institute. These are just a few of the many things that set us, our school, and this year, apart. This year will be written on the walls within our memories forever. Shelby Public School«Shelby, Nebraska 68662
