And from the looks of things, he's right. The Huskies had quite a few wins and dropped a couple of losses before their spectacular win over David City in regular sea- son play. Senior Stephanie Peterson said, “It felt great to win -the game against David City! Then the girls went on to sub-districts to play Stroms- burg and bring around a victo- ry. The same nights our hopes of competing in state tourna- ments were blown away when we were, beat by Osceola. Some comments about the season by Coach Jurrens were that the girls showed honest effort, hard work, and readily accepted responsibility. He also said the season highlight was beating David City for conference championship. A comment by Holly Hernbloom about the season was. “It was fun to have a winning season and an honor to be confer- ence champs. Stephanie Jo- hansen was chosen as 1st team All-Conference and Nor- ma Kula 2nd team All Confer- ence.
