Their field trip was in the spring, to Co- lumbus. They worked on many projects including decorating their room with Halloween decora- tions, such as pine cones and paper plate turkeys, and Indians and pilgrims which hung from the lights. Mrs. Krumbach says that in spite of its large size (27 students) the class works very well together. Home Plumbing and Heating. Inc. Instead of going to school in the morning or afternoon, this year's Kindergarteners go to school every other day. One week they go on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and the next week they go on Tuesday and Thursday. “Because of this new system the children get to do more extra activi- ties,” says Mrs. Ott. They have music, art, and P.E. everyday. They also get a half hour rest period.” The children like riding the big yellow school buses and eating lunch at school. One little boy said, I wish I could come to school every day!” Since the children are going to school all day this year it will be easier for them to adapt to first grade, although, then they will get to go to school everyday instead of every other day.
