Ftachelle Shorney NOT PICTURED- Cindy Rmkol. Koo Kefly The fourth graders visited the State Capitol, the Governor’s Mansion and Morrill Hall during their field trip to Lincoln. As a spe cial project they wrote family his- tories. They had an antique show in conjunction with Achievement Night. The third graders visited the Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pio- neer on their field trip to Grand Island. They took a guided tour and saw exhibits which included peiord room settings, tools, uten- sils. clothing and furnishings. The students also saw Indian and Old West artifacts and typical build- ings of the period, including a Pawnee earth lodge. As a special project the class visited the Osceola Annie Jeffery Hospital. At the hospital they at- tended a program designed to pre- pare children for hospitalization.

Melissa Mecek The fifth grade class took off for an adventerous field trip to Hastings Mu- seum on April 20. 1987. While there, they had a demonstration on taxider- my and they also watched the plan- etarium show. SKY AT NIGHT, The remainder of their time at the museum was spent looking at the ex- hibits. which included taxidermied ani- mals. the Pawnee earth lodge, weap- ons from United States' wars, and ve- hicles. The sixth graders left on their field trip on April 14. 1987. They went to Omaha to the Joslyn Art Museum, the Omaha World Herald, and tire Union Pacific Museum. Special projects for the 6th graders this year were learning to write stories and poetry. Mrs. Pesicka said that the class has grown from the 28 who registered the first day of school to 31 at the end of the year. She also says that they were one of her more exciting groups.

They toured the Weaver's Potato Chip Company, Bryan Memo- rial Hospital and the Fol- som Children’s Zoo. The 1986-87 first grade class had many projects and adventures this year. Their field trip was in the spring, to Co- lumbus. They worked on many projects including decorating their room with Halloween decora- tions, such as pine cones and paper plate turkeys, and Indians and pilgrims which hung from the lights.
