SPEECH DRAMA This year the District One-Act Play Contest entry was the humorous play, CRAWLING ARNOLD. Mr. and Mrs. Enterprise (Terry Bemis and Deb- bie O'Brien) have asked a social worker, Miss Sympathy (Shelly Scow) to visit with their son, Arnold (Brian Kosch) about a serious social prob- lem. It seems that 35 year old Arnold has regressed to crawling like a baby at all times since his 70 year old parents have had another son. The entire play revolves around Arnold's problem and the humorous home life of his parents. Also included in the humor is the Enterprise's maid (Wanda Vrbka). The play did not advance to die State Contest, but did receive an Excellent Rating at the District, which was held January 18, at Peru State College. The play director was Mr. Terry Biddle.
