May 8, 1971 Drifting and Dreaming, was the theme of this year's Jr.-Sr. Banquet and Prom. The beautiful decorations by the Juniors really seemed to make the evening complete. Introductions and thank you's were made by the respective class Presidents; Debbie Pope and Bob Smith. Then the Senior Class Will and Prophecy were read by Tim Gutz and Bob Buchholz, followed by the music, The Impossible Dream , sung by the Junior girls. Patti Slusarski, Phyllis Oppliger, Lorraine Rafert, Brian Hopwood, Reggie Nekl, and Robin Perry represented the Freshman class as servers; wearing the latest fashions in pastel colors. The dance music was furnished by the Golden Sound. This year's Jr.-Sr. Prom will be re- membered for many years to come. Band Banquet The annual Band Banquet was held Tues- day, May 11, in the high school gym. The covered dish dinner was followed by a short program by the band. Mr. Weinstein first announced the majorettes and the new officers for the coming year. The musical numbers by the band were followed by Sr. Band President, Bob Buchholz, who gave a brief rundown on the band's activities this year, and presented Mr. Weinstein with a gift from the band. Mr. Weinstein then favored the crowd with two saxophone solos, accompanied by Bob Buch- holz, and Mike Hatt.
