Shelby High The Shelby High School Band, under the direction of Mr. Ralph Weinstein, has been one of the most active organizations through- out the school year. Last fall the 35 piece Marching Band was invited to perform at the Nebraska State Fair. Following the State Fair came the Grand Island Harvest of Har- mony at which the band competed in street and field marching competition. The band received an Excellent rating in Class C. A new activity for the band was the Platts- mouth Invitational Marching Contest where it performed and received a well deserved Superior rating. To top off the marching season was the marching Contest at Pershing Auditorium in Lincoln - again the band earned a Superior rating. Since the marching season the band went into Concert and Stage Band rehearsals. The Stage Band attended the Stage Band festival at Nebr. Wesleyan University and also re- ceived a Superior rating at District Music Contest. The Concert Band was not outdone, it also received a Superior rating. The band has had a great year and every- one is very proud of of it's accomplishments. THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY: FARMERS CO-OP BUSINESS ASS’N SHELBY, NEBRASKA X .................................
