Marching Musicians Rate Excellent I Twirler Sandi Krumbach, Head-Majorettes Candice Taddiken and Debbie Boss, and twirler Kathleen Krumbach led the Huskies' marching band. After hours of hard work and prepa- ration the band journeyed to Lincoln to compete in the State Marching Contest on October 29. They received an excellent rating at the contest. Hometown fans were well aware of the band's marching abilities because of their performances at home football games. Through hard work on timing and routine performances, the band members were able to execute their half-time performances with great precision. The pep band also performed before basketball games and at half-time. This not only sparked the team, but also pro- vided extra entertainment for the fans. During the school year the band gave a concert for the public. It was well conducted and very well-attended. It also supplied a lift to the Centennial Box Social by playing old-time favorites. On April 20 and 21, the music depart- ment journeyed to Albion for the District Music Contest. Listed are the groups that participated and their ratings.
