In the afternoon the juniorhigh and high school entered floats into competition. They were judged as they paraded through main street.Prizes were awarded in the evening. At the half-time of the Marietta - Shelby game, Carol Albers was crowned Grid Queen. Shockey Motor Company furnished the convertible in which the queen candidates rode. The band played Let me Call You Sweetheart as the honrary captains, Jerry Then and Curtis Ingalls presentedth6 queen with an Identification bracelet, a gift of the S-Club. A dance was held after the game at the Shelby Parish Hall.
