SENIOR EDITORS The project of editing The Spectator has been cus- tomary as the Senior's privilege. The staff members of our school paper. The Spec- tator, gave their extra time to editing this paper, to bring the school news to elementary and high school students and their parents in a parmanent form for each month. The homecoming for 1958 was held on October 10. In the afternoon the high school students marched with the band as they paraded up- town to advertise the football game. The football game was played against the school's oldrival. Rising City, At the half-time of the Ris- ing City-Shelby game, Karen Kubicekwas crowned Grid Queen. For this ceremony Benny Thelen drove the queen candidates onto the field in his convertible and into a crown formed by the band. The band played Let Me Call You Sweetheart as the honorary captains,Corky Schlesinger and Gary Hernbloom presented the queen with an identification bracelet, a gift of the S-CluU A mixer was held after the game at the Shelby Legion Hall. This event brought a close to the homecoming of 1958. 16
