CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1959 of Shelby High School, being of sound mind and memory, cb hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last will and testment, hereby revoking any will or wills heretofore made by us. We, the imperial Seniors, do hereby will to the Juniors our intelligent thoughts and our sophisticated personalities to the Sophomores our ability to have fun and still keep within the rules of the school; and to the Freshmen, our ways of studying. I, Gary Coffin, will nysinging ability to Danny Peterson. I, Miriam Coffin, will my tommy-gun laugh to Mr. Kitt- ridge. I, JoAnn Glatter, will my short, blonde hair to Jessie Cox. I, Gary Hernbloom, will my ability to get along with women to James Langer and Larry Thomas. I, Maureen Krebsbach, will my ability to play volleyball to Jean McGimpsey. I, Karen Kubicek, will my black leotards to Coach Colling to keep him warm at football practices. I, Kenneth Kubicek, will my ability to hunt to Gregg Abbott. I, Larry Kumpf, will my running ability to Wayne Davis. I, Roger Moon, will my short haircut to Larry Kallenbach and Pete Ingalls. I, Rodney Pruss, will my leadership ability to Jim Scow and Kenny Thelen. I, Juanita Rinke, will my height to Patty Coffin. I, Kenneth Schlesinger, will ray curly hair to Jill Smith. I, Carol Smith, will my ability to talk patrolmen out of fines to the Junior boys. I, Diana Thorpe, will my long fingernails to Peggy Brig- ham. The homecoming for 1958 was held on October 10. In the afternoon the high school students marched with the band as they paraded up- town to advertise the football game. The football game was played against the school's oldrival. Rising City, At the half-time of the Ris- ing City-Shelby game, Karen Kubicekwas crowned Grid Queen. For this ceremony Benny Thelen drove the queen candidates onto the field in his convertible and into a crown formed by the band. The band played Let Me Call You Sweetheart as the honorary captains,Corky Schlesinger and Gary Hernbloom presented the queen with an identification bracelet, a gift of the S-CluU A mixer was held after the game at the Shelby Legion Hall. This event brought a close to the homecoming of 1958. 16
