The class of '58 seemed, then, all present and we were so busy talking, the rocket landing occurred unnoticed by any of us. It was not until after the landing that we realized on® classmate was absent, Dennis Peeser. We soon knew why, for when the door of the rocket opened, out stepped Dennis, looking like he had just awakened from a sound sleep. Dermis joined us and began relating his experiences on the rocket. It seems he had gone along to see if it were possible to sleep in outer space. As I recall, Dennis always did enjoy sleeping, especially in classes and study halls. All too soon our classmates began departing, each going to his or her respective home. Larry and I, with our two children decided to return to our California home, taking back with us never-to-be-for- gotten memories of this happy and historical occasion. 11
