CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1955 of the city of Shelby, county of Polk, and state of Nebraska, being of feeble mind and memory, do hereby make, publish, and declare this to be our last will and testament, hereby revoking any will or wills heretofore made by us. We, the Seniors, will to the Freshmen, our ability to have class co-operation; to the So- phomores, the Seniors way get- ting 'along with Mrs. Young; to the Juniors, the Seniors leave their party tactics. I, Donna Eller, willmylong, curly hair to Sharon Deden. I, Barbara Coffin, leave my cheerleading ability to Nellie Cox. I, Norman Gabel, leave my slow, easy-going ways to Benny Thelen. I, Gerald Hopwood,leave be- hind my quietness and shyness to Donnie Wombacher and Gary Abbott. I, Eugene Bernt, request Coach Ferguson to take my care- ful driving to heart. I, Audrey Kallenbach, will my ability to play volleyball to Shirley Paulsen. I, Eileen Linton, bequeath my music talent to JoAnnScholz. To the teachers, we, the Seniors, leave memories of our good behavior in school. In witness thereof, we, the Mighty Seniors of 1955» seal this will the thirteenth day of May in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and fifty-five (1955). The Senior Class of 55 BANQUET MEMORIES 1954 Mexican Theme Carried Out Dancing to Eddie Garner's Band Seiiors and Serioritas A Day in Mexico was the theme selected for the Junior- Senior Banquet Aoril 28, 195U. The Methodist Church dining area was anoropriately and attractively decorated for the occasion. The dinner was prepared by the Juniors' mothers and ser- ved by six Freshmen. They were Denny Thelen,Gary Abbott,Larry Daum, Annabelle Jaax, Doris Kallenbach, and Pat Beebe. Following the Banquet, the Seniors were honored at a Prom at which Eddie Garner furnished the music. 10

CLASS PROPHECY 31+97 West Street Tampa, Florida May 13, 1970 Dear Audrey, In reply to your letter ask- ing me about our classnates and their professions, I am happy to say that I visited with most of them recently at an Alumni Banquet. Sorry you were unable to come to it. I guess Barbara Coffin, now THE MRS. JEROME REISDORFF, is kept pretty busy taking care of husband and children. Barb has five red-headed sons. Barb always did have an eye for those red-heads. I was more than pleased to see Donna Eller appear in a nurse's uniform. When I ques- tioned Donna as to where she was working, she told me she was now head nurse for a brain specialist in New York City. Seems as though she would get awfully lonesome in such a big city, but she told me she has never a lonesome moment. No Sir.' Not as long as Norman Gabel has an Art Gallery in the Bronx. She also informed me that at the present time Mr. Gabel is over in Paris where his much-wanted pictures are on display. I was surely glad to hear that Norman has put his talent to use. I guess that a wed- ding isn't too far away,by the looks of Donna's ring. Norman always did have a gigantic crush on Miss Eller. Eugene Bernt stuck around his hometown, Shelby, I under- stand. He has a big 640 acre farm, and to top it all off, he even hasitall fenced in white. I guess he farms it all by him- self too. Imagine how you'd feel living on a big farm like that, and having it fenced in white.' Bud always did go for farms in a big way. Sounds as if most of the Class of '55 have their dreams more than fulfilled. As for me, well, I've been pretty busy myself. I gradu- ated from the Miami College a year ago, and Just moved to Tam- pa, where I will teach in the high school. Moving can be quite a Job, and I got myself rather worked up about it,but I wouldn't have needed to because I had one of Gerald Hopwood's vans move me. Jerry has a van-line known all over the United States.The van-line business must be pretty good because as I understand, Jerry has retired from eva'ything but the directorship. I'm very anxious for next week to come. Gary Bemis, now a jazz band leader, is coming to our town. When Gary isn't jazzing up the town, he is off taking care of his large Black Angus herd. I guess his dreams have come true too. Well, I guess that takes care of every one but you. How do you like your full time job? I'll bet being a secretary is a job, let alone taking care cf your two children, but ItLL bet you enjoy every minute of it. As I'm all out of news, I will bring this to a close, hoping to hear again from you soon. With love, Eileen P.S.I surely hope you and your hubby can come to our wedding. THE JUNIORS LOOK AHEAD Back Row-Mr. Armstrong, Sponsor; Howard Whitmore, Myron Hiemer, Gene Scow, Keith Walden, Jerry Peterson, Larry Funkhouser. Middle Row-Bob Jostes, Myrna Krebsbach, Ann Kosch, JuLee Albers, Sharon Coffin. Front Row-Richard Eller, Kay Taddiken, Marge Ingalls, Janet Kuhnel, Ronnie Vakoc. A great day In Shelby High for the Junior Class was the day when their class rings came. They excitedly passed the news to all the members of the class that their rings had arrived, and before long oh's and ah's of admiration were heard in every corridor. Another highlight of their year was the presentation of the Junior play, M'Llssa, Nov- ember 12. Eleven members of the class participated in the play. They olayed before one of the largest audiences in the history of Shelby high class plays. The grand finale of the activities of this classoccur- ed in the springtime when they played hosts to the Seniors at the annual Junior-Senior Ban- quet and Prom. 11
