HOMECOMING. This year's Homecoming was the Fifth Annual Homecoming held in S.H.S. The theme for the floats was song titles. The prize-winning float was the seniors' float, Liberty Bell . The Juniors took second prize with their Mule Train , and the third prize went to the S Club,with the song title of Cruising Down the River. The Grid Queen this year was Janice Coffin. Her attendants were Alyce Gabel, and Nancy La Munyon. The identity of the Queen was kept secret until half-time. The co-captains, Louis Whitmore and Paul Rosen- berry crowned the queen, and presented her with a kiss and a gold bracelet. The Queen and her attendants were brought onto the field in a 1910 Chalmers owned and driv- en by Harlan Carlson of Stroms- burg.
