WE SAW THE GIRLS CHEER PEP CLUB. Shelby's Husky Howlers got off to a howing start with an enrollment of twen- ty-three girls. Under the sponsorship of Miss Anne Marie Kreifels, the officers were elect- ed: Barbara Haskins, President; Barbara Coffin, Vice-President; Nancy LaMunyon, secretary and Donna Eller, Treasurer. Cheerleaders chosen at the end of the 1952 school term were seniors, Jean Ingalls, Pat Doty, Janice Coffin and Junior, Betty Lees. The cheerleaders chose gold bell-hop Jackets with black corduroy skirts lined with gold. Members of the pep club chose gold corduroy slacks and black blouses or sweaters. The pep club's main purpose of course, is to back-up the boys to help bring victories. Committees of girls were kept busy during the home games selling hot dogs, pop corn, fudge, pop, coffee, candy bars and gum. Page 24.
