After a year of successful coaching at Stevensville, he came to Shelby last fall. His chances for a football championship were ru- ined by injuries, but his boys progressed rapidly, Won a majority of their games, and showed the re- sults of smart coaching. ln basketball, Olson developed as good a team as ever represented Shelby High. The Cut Bank iinx stopped them in an overtime period to rob them of a championship, but they were unquestiona- bly one of the three or four best B teams in the state. 1938 FOOTBALL COACH CLIFF OLSON Dugne Fredell Don Edwards Leland Willis Cecil Polina Quarterback End Tackle Guard David Thorn Howard Bashor Vearl Addy lohn Hoyt Cemer Tackle End Haliback 41 xg 19 ff? 9 'Q eff 91 xlf Q 33 E6 F f .Q PA .. - , 1 i fe' fs nf 1, 5,, fflfixixfifcwkaizfk. ff , S 4 .M Q. 1 ' - ' X .
