Freshmen Freshman HlSt0fy Early ln the vear the class of 32 met for the purpose ot 01gaI1l7atl0I1 The tol lowmg oftlcers were chosen Presldent MHTIOD Hart Vlc-e Presldent Jem ry Rosen berger Secretary Treasurer Felnald Landeen and taculty advlser M1ss Johnson The Freshmen were the guests of the Sophomores at an iIl1flatl0Il palty Septem ber 21 1928 The members of the class were formally 1n1t1ated and were now ready to take thexr place 1n the hlgh school The Freshmen were the hosts of the Sophomores November 3 1928 at a return masquerade party Ronald Burw ash won the coveted prlze for havmg the best cos tume Early ln the year one of our members Ramona Sartell succumbed to the wlles of Dan Cupld and was marrled men responded Howard Beardslee Jerry Rosenberger and MRYIOH Hart Jerrv and Marlon won txrst squad letters and Howard received a reserve letter Jerry could hold down anv posxtlon on the team and was recognized as one of the outstand mg players of the eleven Basketball was the next event m which the Freshmen boys and gxrls took an ac tlve part In the boys mterclass tournament the Freshmen placed thlfd Mar on Hart was elected capta1n of the team Jerry Rosenberger was the only one of the Frosh to pull down a berth on the flrst squad He recelved hxs letter and Jersey Several of the glrls practlced basketball Although none of them gamed places on the first team they received some valuable experlence A number of Freshmen were out for track Much material was found ln the class and the boys dld much toward maklng a successful season for S H S Jerry osenberger was elected captain of the Frosh track squad Anita Fay carrxed off the honors ln the Queen contest very easxly She wxll compete with the other representatives of the classes We expect her to give them plenty of competitlon In v1ew of the successful year behlnd it prospects for the coming three years of the class of 1932 look brlght Elew en Coach Donaldson issued a call on September 5 for football men.
