Mllsmoeenu i , 'i-gn' 6444 77'za,64eey My children are now safely tucked in bed and I am sitting here thinking of the story I have just finished telling them. It was of my days in school at Shelburne High. As the years have gone by I have kept in touch with my former classmates Just yesterdaylmet Shirley Francis in our downtown grocery store in the small city of Shelburne, She told me that she was now in the beautician business with Judy Ready. After a few years of beautician school they had converted Judy's house into a salon. They have been making their fortune in this way. One of my old pals, Paul Danyow, phoned my oldest daughter last week to baby sit for him, He made his boyhood dream come true. He was now a successful dentist and married his childhood sweetheart. They have six chil- dren. l went on a shopping spree the other day with Eraldine Bicknell. She had been married all these years to the boy she was engaged to in her senior year. They have two children, She told me that the twins were running the cabins since their father had become old and decrepit. Joan of course has married the fellow of her dreams when he got out of the service. Jean is still the old maid she always wanted to be, She also told me Beverly Cross was a successful airline hostess for the Colonial Airlines, Her favorite date is one of the pilots. I had a long letter from Yvonne St. Peter the other day, She is married to a Major in the Air Force and follows him from camp to camp. They had just retumed from Germany and were blessed with a baby girl. She told me she had seen Marvin Collette. He is an Airman First Class. It started when he joined the Air National Guard in his senior year. He al- ways was crazy over uniforms. Yvonne had been in Switzerland, when her husband was stationed abroad. While she was there she saw Diane Dederer. Diane has pursued the fine art of skiing, though I never saw how she could do it. She ls now a skiing instructor. So this ends my account of all my former Classmates of 1954. Rachael Jennings Eraldine Bicknell 6444 7046! This year saw four Senior girls in action for the Green-and -White. They were Jean Pierce, Diane Dederer as forwards, and Eraldine Bicknell and Yvonne St. Peter as guards. The girls saw action with four schools within the league and one school not included in our league. The games were with Weeks School, Beeman Academy fNew Havenj, Essex Junction, l-linesburg and Shoreham. The games with Shoreham were the only two victories for Shelburne, Supporting the team on the inactive side were: Beverly Cross as Team Manager, Joan Pierce as Timekeeperg and Mae Thomas as Scorekeeper. Yvonne SI. Pete! Z I Early in December many of the fellows who played soccer came out for basketball. We welcomed three Freshmen and two Juniors to the squad. We lost four of our experienced players and it has taken a year to rebuild the squad. We were also hampered by a lack of height, There were twelve men who made up the squad, two Seniors, Marvin Collette and Paul Danyow, six Juniors, John Clark, Carl Lozon, James St, George, Leo Senesac, Burton Shangrawand George Sinnott. Also one Sopho- more, Robert Spear, and three Freshmen, Frank Galipeau, Peter Martel and Frank Noble. Larry Sinnott and Charles Boisvert were Managers and James St. George was Scorekeeper, Money was raised for the purchase of basketball warm-up suits which arrived shortly after Christmas vacation. The money C0lll1'ibUICd by the P, T.A helped in purchasing our athletic equipment. Although the team failed to win many games, there was an excellent display of sportsmanship and team spirit. The team looks very promising next year because all but two men will be retuming.
