Class Prophecy As I gaze mto my crystal ball many forms appear As the m1st dlsappears I recog mze the fam1l1ar faces of my schoolmates of 53 Frrst I see a gay carmval wrth the mam attractxon of the evenmg starrmg Dean Adams The Strong Man Also tourmg the carnlval grounds I fmd Charles Antle and hls Powell As I go down the mldway a terrlflc roar attracts my attentlon It ls Marjorle Barley and her crew of auto daredev11s drlvmg Chrysler products One of her featured acts IS Vlola K11ne with her motorcycle As I came out the rear entrance of the tent I saw two famlllar feet stlckmg out from underneath an auto It was Ivan Carroll soupmg up one of the hotrods As the carn1val 1s fadmg out another scene enters my crystal ball but the v1s1on IS gettmg dlmmer and dxmmer I then reallzed lt would be better to see my old schoolmates m person I went to a flllmg statlon to have my car servzced and to secure road maps and whom d1d I fmd as the proprletor but Rlchard McSorley He tells me I can fmd James Hall on a ch1cken farm west of Shelbma His wlfe the former Kathleen Greenwell tells me that at long last Gerald Power has found the certaln Loulse who 15 the Key to h1S heart Gomg down the road I stop to v1s1t Betty Turner and Frances Bartoslk who are f1x1ng lunches for the1r husbands the O Laughlln brothers Charles and Leo Glenda Dmwlddle 1s trymg to beat Tom s record at golf Ronald Day the caretaker belleved It would be safer to be on the ball Dr1v1ng on I stop at Tommy Phllllber s Ice Cream Parlor where he IS m1x1ng a malt for hls favorlte glrl Marle Danxels He tells me h1s success 15 due to Wallace s Dalry Products I arrlved home to fmd an announcement of the double weddmg of the Wood twlns Clunette and Claudette to Gzlbert Farrell and Truman Wood Dorothy Magruder the for mer Dorothy Farrell and her husband Jack are to be the couples attendants That nxght I V1S1t6d my nexghbors Mr and Mrs Marvm and Lela Farrell Thomas and famlly of exght all ln assorted smzes Whxle v1s1t1ng we watched thelr new three d1 menslonal televxslon set and whom drd we see but Hank oh no Bob W1ll1ams and hrs Western Variety Tlme Dorthy Bower IS now Mrs Bob W1ll1ams who IS helpmg hlm on the way to success I found that they had purchased thexr te1ev1s1on set through the Gamble Store that 1s now owned by Opaldme Maupin and her husband John Ashcroft Jr Thls led me to ask about her twm Paulme Maupm who IS teachmg at Granvmlle Hlgh School Our conversatlon turned toward the latest Parls M1SSOUT1faSh1OHS where Alma Dene Todd IS modeling clothes and has to watch her Walte very closely Some of these latest fash1ons are bemg deslgned by Donna Eversman Q 1 I Y U . , - as ,, I., . . j . . . . . . , ' . . . .. As I was driving to Oklahoma a billboard drew my attention. Back to Missouri and the University where I find Thomas Ragsdale is the Professor of Agriculture and Jimmy Rash is more Mary than ever teaching the Tigers new football plays.
