Class Prophecg Let's look ten years into the future to 1983 to see how the members of the class of 1973 have fared. Several new industries have sprung up in Sheffield since our class graduated. Mark Brush is the President of the Brush Corporation which manufactures brushes. The main factory for the production of meat pounders is located in Sheffield and was founded by Jim Pierson, who has since become a millionaire. Speaking of millionaires, lumber tycoon Rick Zandi recently took a trip to his homeland, Japan. Karen French was the stewardess on his flight. It is reported by Garry Studer, roving reporter for the Sheffield World News, that a romance may be brewing between these two people. If you read the Sheffield World News, you may have read the Dear Debi column, which is written by Debi Engard. Debby Crisman has gone occult and is also writing for the Sheffield World News. Her column is Crisman Predicts. fMaybe she should have written this prophecy.j The paper is owned and edited by Debbie Cashmere. The B8cB Country Club, owned and operated by Bob Blymiller and John Buck, was recently opened. Wendy Blymiller, the girl with the golden voice, sang for its opening. Wendy's thousand dollar dress was designed by world famous fashion designer Sabrina Carlson. Her hair was styled by Sandy Bean. It was announced that pro-golf champion Terry Moldovan would be at the club within the next week to give some golf pointers. Also in the world of sports, we find Chris Thornton and Connie Bednar in training for the 1984 Olympics. The girls are members of the U, S, Women's volleyball team. Mancy Miller is captain of the Sheffield Wolverettes, the world champion roller derby team. Recently, the Triple Crown was won by that famous horse, Brandy Jr. Brandy is trained and owned by Teri Duell. After having thirteen automobile accidents and breaking every bone in his body, Jeff Grubbs has turned to professional car racing. He won the 1982 'Indianapolis 500 and broke all previous records. The Sheffield Medical Center has been taken over by women. Susan Barris is chief surgeon at the Center. She is aided by registered nurse Laurie Donick and practical nurse Linda Mueller. Kim Grubbs is secretary to the new dentist, Shirley Miller. Police Chief, Cecil Poole, has just been discharged from the Medical Center for injuries he sus- tained while trying to hold down a riot at the University of Sheffield. When the president and founder of the University, Tim Leichtenburger, was asked about the riot by Deputy Roger Rockwell, he replied that he felt the problems were due to outside aggitators, Mike McAvoy and Kris Weigel. Rockwell promptly arrested McAvoy and Weigel, and the trial will be held next month with Judge Larry Wolfe presiding. David Swanson will be the defense attorney, and Joel La Barr will be the prosecutor. Swanson feels confident that he will win his case since he has never lost before. Pam Johnson is Swanson's secretary and left-hand girl. lf you watch the talk show, Late at Night with Linda starring Linda Chase, perhaps you saw architect Glenn Carlson show his plans for the Sheffield Planitarium which will be built by Brian Jefferson and Associates. Beauty Contest winner Cindy Austin, Miss Red-Head 1983 was special guest of the show. Sheila Schuler was voted Mother of the Year for the thhd consecutive year. She still has no children of her own. Finally, in the field of entertainment, we hear that Nick O'Donish has become leader of The Nasty Five. The group is presently appearing at Carnegie Hall.
