As I gaze around the room, I have a queer feeling something has changed. The calendar reads 1960. Ten years have passedg why it's phenomenal. Ten years ago our class of '50 was leaving Sheffield High. Oh, what ambitions, members of our beloved class possessed I wonder how successful each has been I guess I ll amble down town I have plenty of time before catching my bus for that trip Im going to take As I m putting on my hat, a flash goes by the window I reach the window in time to see IIAY 'OLFF streak by in his jet pro pelled car of the future As I get nearer I am amazed to see ANITA JONJFS and I DDII4 IIU DOLPII getting showered wth ri e In the arched doorway of the church stands the Rev erend CIIAIILFS WII LIAIISONI who has just performed the ceremony After offering my con gratulatlons I strolled down the street There s liitzy restaurant I believe Ill go in and have breakfast Why the waitress looks like y s it s PIIYI LIS IIIVINI' She informs me that she and Ilarvey are happily man'1ed and own 1 large chain of restaurants On leaving the restaurant lsee lr and 'Irs Al Cataldo shes the former DAIILENIL RODGFRSD who have stopped for a red light Im not surprised t this match It was cooked up while we were still in QIIS I think Ill buy a newspaper to rell ln the bus On my way to the newstand I met IIIYX CORK nov Irs 'lalph Stenger r hurrying down the street with her six cats trail mg behind Yvhen I askel her why the rush she told me she had to be home when Ilalph returned from work At the news stand I selected a paper 'Io my surprise I note the headlines 'Nl I I former Vice I resident takes over as Iresident I always knev he was of 'White 'louse stuff Another trticle citches my eye lllflx 'IOI JUVAN singing sensation is new head m in on I lub IJ An announcement in the society colurn makes me grin with Joy SIIIIII I Y SIIOI' I ind IO ' ll XI ION have been hitched up It s high time I might add Hefore I reached the bus station I met ,IO ANN 3 II INN Il isenhauerl who was pushin 'i babv c xrrri e From my chat with her I learned that she is here on 'i short vacation from I erke Iey Ialxfornia where hd Ile is coach '1tICL'X lheres my bus I hand the bus Iriver my ticket 'ind then turn blck for 1 seconl look Are my eyes deceiving m 777 It s VPN NIX Sf llll ll She remembers me but there s no time to talk now I settle flown to watch the people enter the bus. There's only one I know, JOE STRAZISER. IIe's a gentleman farmer, on his way to a convention. Guess I'll concentrate on my book for a while. It's a sparkling novel by DOROTHY SWANSON.
