BOLEY. Principal Zfrilfczjwzl is Message . . . In a year of uncertainty and tension caused by Communistic threats to the peace of the free world, animals being sent into outer space in missiles and summit conferences involving the world's major powers, the importance of education has gained eminence. This makes it even more important that each student do his school work to the best of his ability: it is a challenge that we must accept. May I commend Editor Susan Tschantre and the Demitasse staff and sponsors for the accurate and meaningful pictorial recording of events of Sheffield High School for the 1958-59 school year. The enthusiasm, loyalty, cooperation and hard work of students and faculty have made this anoth- er successful year. Congratulations, and thank you. Jackson was the star of the game, scoring both TDs. The first test of the season came when the locals won over Huntsville by a '7-6 margin. Defense was the key of this contest as the Panthers drove to the Bulldog goal a number of times before being repulsed. Carter scored the lone Sheffield touchdown with Jackson's placement kick being the margin of victory. The first taste of defeat for the Bulldogs came at the hands of the Athens Golden Eagles, 6-0.
