(6 AFS AFS: OUTER CIRCLE-Aldo De- Cuili, Nancy Bonsack, Connie Reimer, Sharon Humphrey, Dawn Melger, Dee Debbink, Diane Griep, Jean Buteyn, Ann Musil, Barb Preder, Laura Logan, Brenda Soerens, Sue Kaeppel. INNER CIRCLE-John Weygandt, Jeff Thurman, Miss Hay, Linda Op- genorth, Carolyn Weygandt, Barb Woveras. This year our AFS student was Aldo DeGiuli from Italy. Because of his easy- to-get-along-with person- ality, he didn't have much of a problem fitting into the way of life in Falls. For the first time at Falls we had an American Abroad student, Carolyn Weygandt, who spent the summer in Germany. To raise money, AFS sold concessions and sponsored a dance. 20 We always dream what on a lower level we are continuously living in our daily life and the time passes with tremendous rhythm upon all that we do or want to do; another year has gone and it has changed me. We have lived together, with the chance to learn more about the differences that can separate us, the way to be able to appreciate these differ- ences, some of the reasons behind them, and the basic similarities we have. At the end of this AFS year I look back, in appraisal, to see what I have done, what I should have done; and I look forward, without many illusions, but with a more optimistic disposition. As you come to learn and respect humanity, your own self, and everyone's limits, you realize that any violence against another will diminish your own humanity; and to be pessimistic is a form of violence. Looking back, it seems as if I will hardly get tired of thinking about this year I have spent in Falls and of playing with my mind try- ing to remember emotions, moments, sensations, or places I like and people I love. So, this cannot be other than a letter of thanksgiving to all of you who have helped me and made this possible. Special thanks go to my family, the Weygandts. Aware of my debt and the bond I have with each one of you, I leave with the hope to see vou again. I know I am going to miss you. A night where girls feel like prin- cesses escorted by noble gentlemen. This night was reflections, the 1972 junior prom. Chosen to reign over this night were king John Anderson and his queen Deb Griep. Couples danced away the night to music by the Ecstatic Revue. 1972 PROM COURT: Randy Bertram, Amy Hudson, Nelson Busch, Chris Voss, Wayne Wolske, Cory Bertram, John Anderson, Debbie Griep, Gwen Heinig, Marlene Held, Diane Baack, Rick Schueffner, Carol Buchholz, Gig Christenson. 82 There was, of course, post prom with the Cana- dian Boogiemen and maybe afterwards a stop at the lake to watch the sunrise or breakfasts to attend. Too soon the night is over and for those who attended it was a pleasurable night. For those who worked be- hind scenes it was a re- warding experience, a special reflection of our lives. 84 85 Faculty And Admin- istration SCHOOL BOARD: Mr. J. Richardson, Jr., Mrs. G. way, on our way back to God. earth is but a place to stay until we can go on. the lucky ones are taken first under the heavenly domb. tears can only make things worse- be happy now -they are home. Seniors As Freshmen we were scared little kids afraid of being caught by some Big Senior that was waiting to put us through some endurance test. That was a year to remem- ber! Toast to victory! (what a float!) Last place, what a disgrace! Sophomore year wasn't too bad either. It might have scared a few of the local, veteran drivers though. Everybody was getting their driver's license, and gossip- ing about who was going steady with who. Then we were getting into the swing of High School (pretty dull!) Junior year, too much to do and not enough time to do it. There was Off the Track for openers. Shor' hope Kelly's Creek... and don't forget our fabulous basketball team. Then there was prom Reflections , a night of happy mem- ories. McDonalds, Parties, parties, PARTIES!!! Senior year ...
