Narration was done by the choral readers and music was pro- vided by the string quartette. Members also gave a Washington and Lincoln program vt hich consisted of a one act play, music, and a reading. The Dramatics Club holds its meetings every Thursday from four oclock to five oclock. It includes all senior high school students interested in acting, make-up stage-crew work, and directing. The meetings are conducted according to the rules of parliamentary procedure. A short program usually takes place which may include readings, plays, singing, monologues, listening to records of classical music and narrations, and dancing. -42- 51 Standmg B Clark V Blllmann M Haxden J Hoc-hrem W Samsal R Zlmmermann R Sc-atxd A Iangner I icholtmn P Carbe J Majmrus J Wlllnd en .L'Jfm2uf5Zaff The seventeen student llbrarrans wlth Mxss Stebbms as then' Chlef have man aged an GEICXCDI and qulet llbrary durmg tl'e past school year The school also has added to the faC1lll16S of students the magazme llbrary where magazmes from the past three years are on tile for reference wlth the Readers Guide as an mdex Lxbrarlans hold Weekly meetmgs IH the llbrary to check shelves and dxscuss problems Whxch arose durmg the precedmg week The student body and taculty have at thelr dlsposal 4424 books whlch lnclude sociology phxlology natural sclence useful and fme arts geoffraphy travel blographxes hlstory and flCl1On One table of the l1b1ary IS dedlcated to educatlonal pamphlets Each week old ones are filed and new ones replace the old The artlcles on the table are about nurslng enhstment 1n womens forces the War and post war problems and youth 1D educatlon and mdustrxes 1n Amerlca The llbrary has been made more attractlxe and pleasant by pamtmg the flower pots and addmg a bulletln board Some students made a Chrlstmas dxsplay for the llbrary The scene deplcted clothes pm people m old fashloned costumes agaxnst a background of evergreen trees log cabms and paths xnlndlng to a small glass lake At the same tlme another exh1b1t consxstmg of colorful suggestlons for Chrnstmas packages of a xarlety of shapes slzes and colors prepared by some of the art classes was on dxsplay 3 B pig f ' -K if K , , 1 Q T ' 1 X i W ' A Hertzberg, K.
