In the year 2,000 A. D. I went on an excursion to see ifl could locate any of my old friends and classmates that attended Shawswick High School in the year 1954-55. Our first stop was San Francisco, California. There I telephoned Bob Clampitt whom I had heard was living there. He said he had married Patty Kindred right after school was out in 1955 and had bought a prune plantation in California. I told Bob good -bye and I was off for my next stop, Hawaii, where my old friend Joe Newland and his wife Barbara are now living. I stopped to say Hello and found Joe sit- ting on his front porch making grass skirts for a livelihood. Joe told me that our friend, Warren Wildman, was living down there also and was getting very rich off of a coconut plantation. Out to Hickman Field to board our plane and we were off for the Philippine Islands. While there we stopped in at a drive-in and to my surprise Janet Jackson and her husband owned it, in co-partnership with Delbert Baker and Carole Brinegar who are now Mr. 8s Mrs. Janet told me that Kenny Reynolds was in Japan --owner of the Japanese Sky -- Rockets, a basketball team, who hadn't lost a game in 20 years. As we continued on our journey, we came to Bombay, India where we heard Shirley Scoggan was chasing John all over the country -side trying to get him to marry her. As l was passing over Africa I happened to remember that Rilla Jo Baker was there on a 350,000 hunt- ing expedition. Stopping at Rome, Italy, I happened to see a magazine with Kay Boruff's picture on it. I looked up her address and went to see her. She is now married to Paul and models for a big firm here in Italy. Her fee is 310,000 or over. We happened to run into Janice Asbell leading yells at an Olympic game with Max cheering her on. With her were Jack Peyton and David Ragsdale. On the way to England I stopped at Geneva, Switzerland, and picked up rwo five -star generals. They were Paul Snow and Fred Lyons. They were on their way to England and they informed me that Donald Smith was trying to get on as assistant to the assistant of the assistant to the assistant of the Prime Minister. They also told us that Ray Wagoner was trying to get on as his assistant. Charles Holland was in Holland trying to trace his family tree. Too bad we had to miss seeing Charles but our plane did DOI stop there. As I was on my last lap home I stopped on the coast of Florida to see Judy Kern. I found that her husband, Bob, has a resort and that Jack Pace and Robert Young were the entertainers there. I stopped in Washington D. C. and said l-lel1o to Nancy Wagoner who is the secretary to the Treas- urer. I stopped at the White House to see Sue Ann Dodd, who is the first woman President of the United States and Canada. As we come to New York, New York I looked up my very dear friend lean Brown who is still waiting for Olin to come home over the week -end. Finally we hit our old home town ofBedford, Indiana that now has a population of l00,000. fMy, how time flies.J We tried to locate some friends and found that Peggy Conley, Rebecca Crane, and Drucella Smith are still out at S.H.S. Peggy got Mr. Flinn's job and now S.H.S. is an all boy's school. Sounds like fun, doesn't it? They told us Janet Bartley has a reducin parlor and a et sho Z P P- We found also Norman lkerd is the champion pool player at Kattis' pool room and is now owner of the place . 5' ' ,.
