a poem. . opicture. . . Saga seniors took advantage of the summer months to work out fine details of the many senior secrets, such as the theme, color, and style of our yearbook. In September, junior members joined our group, and together We got down to the business of creating the 1976 Saga. Though at times deadlines seemed almost impossible to meet, and tempers reached the end of the line, we kept in mind our common goal, and put out that extra bit of effort. West's school newspaper, the Epic, brightened up fourth hour classes twice a month. Our Epic Staff consisted of 20 persons, each one belonging to a certain staff. The entertaining articles varied from present day problems to just for fun stories. The art work displayed in our Epic kept students well informed on the latest styles of drawing. Through working on the Epic, our artistic and literary talents developed. The weekly deadlines and the pressure to meet them as we sought to print a good newspaper made us appreciate our sponsor, Mr. Aiman, who helped us along the way. we share school news. Epic-'71
