.. Busy Bodies Without an efficient office staff serving as the hub of our school's wheel of activities, chaos would break loose. The office personnel combined their efforts to keep the flow of students, activities, and records in order. A iob ranging from filing transcripts, bookkeeping, telephone calls, and most of the paperwork of our school, fell on their shoulders. Student aides were able to assist by delivering messages and typing. From the moment one entered the office, one had all of the help and resources the office staff had to offer. Problems with records or a missed appointment were daily occurrences they had to deal with. Students rarely stopped to appreciate the smooth and effective way the office was run, but their smiles made it all worthwhile to the office personnel. Counselors 8 Kelly D Wolff H Gersh R Soptc P. Dittlemore, R. Crawford. A plethora of problems may arise in a student's life. The competent staff of counselors were ready to aid anyone to the best of their abilities. Whether it be a problem with family, friends, classes, or schedule, the counselors were there to advise, con- sole, and help. Serving as a mediator between parents, admin- istration, and students was one factor of their iob. Helping students with college and vocational plans was another maior portion. Many who had never sought help from their counselors found it difficult to request a counselor's recommendation for col- lege. But those who had utilized the counseling facilities found the counselors eager to help. The tremendous amount of work and effort the counselors put into their work was returned in the satisfaction of seeing a student surmount a diffi- culty. Free Advice i I

I 1, fini. TOT, ,XX Security Officer: C. Pappenfort Nurse: M. Dorn, Attendance: M. Coster .,..,,...-M 4' U ---e mn.. ' f L 'xi Each and every morning, the attendance center was flocked with students. My car wouldn't start and I had to park in the pool parking lot. I couldn't help it. Third hour yesterday? Well, I was uh-um . . . Passes to get into class, out of class, and unexcused absentees were all part of the busy day for the attendance clerks. They were also required to do terrific amounts of filing and searching for missing students. The attendance center was more centrally located this year, moving the noise and confusion out of the office area. Students with ailments ranging from a headache to a broken bone, were turned over to the capable hands of Mrs. Dorn, the school nurse. She supplied the student with cough drops and safety pins. She provided all of the health services for our school with a smile. Her work often required her to be seriously concerned for the students, but she also reserved an air of skepticism for those students she saw too often. Enforcing the school attendance policy, the attendants had their hands full keeping students in school and in class. The nurse certainly had her work cut out for her, tending to the ill. The efficient work of these two offices made them an integral part of our school. Aching or F aking?
