Principally Proud The goal of the four administrators at Shawnee Mission East this year was to con- tribute to a team effort yet function as unique individuals. The proficient administrative team successfully reached their goal as they coordi- nated the interests and activities of the entire school. Dr. James Sandfort, principal, competently headed the team while supervising the stu- dents and faculty. Dr. Arthur Newcomer, our experienced associate principal, skillfully and energetically tackled the demanding iob of handling all sports programs. We are proud to announce that Dr. Newcomer recently was honored as Outstanding Athletic Director in the State of Kansas for the 1977-1978 school year. Dr. Jerry Abbot, functioning as assistant principal, effectively administered curriculum and instruction. Dr. Sheila Dahling, who previously taught at SMEast as an Eng- lish teacher, completed her first year as assist- ant principal in charge of student activities and affairs, proving herself most qualified for such a challenging position.
