S ffl srse ft to testi The 1978 HAUBERK Staff. fpartialj Yes, there is more to being Editor than writing this letter. The 1978 HAUBERK incorporated a few recognizable changes. Instead of a separate candid photo for each faculty member, group pictures of each department appeared with scattered candids throughout the section. This reduced the Faculty Section by several pages and alleviated anxiety over the teachers' candid appearances. The placement of the sections differed this year. Activities and Sports ran side by side because both represented student involvement. Faculty and Student Body were plac- ed side by side as they represented individuals of the school. The color section served as a division between the two. The Ad section grew this year because a Fall Cam- paign was introduced by Paula Graves. The index, a pop- ular and necessary section, returned this year. I owe thanks to many people for their contributions in production of this year's annual. Noni Strand was willing to do more than her fair share and gave me considerable personal confidence throughout the year. Amy Usdin dealt unusually well with the pressures of creating ads in 326!LETTEFt minimal time and her art work did not suffer under this pressure. Carla Miller wrote some exceptional copy con- cerning our theme, Games. The photographers,constant- ly harrassed, usually came through. I owe special thanks to my personal friends for helping me cope with ap- proaching insanity. l also want to recognize those friends and fools who came to Room 105 and helped with the naming of group pictures and captioning candids in times of ease as well as desparation. The entire staff willingly helped when asked and some actually found the tedium of writing captions enjoyable. I offer a very special thanks to Mrs. Thomson who successfully kept me calm in times of emotional crisis and utilized her power of persuasion when mine failed. Her knowledge and experience as yearbook sponsor were in- valuable to me. Though this year's HAUBERK room was often the scene of mass confusion or perhaps even hysteria, the ex- perience was worthwhile and I hope the final product through its rememberances brings you some joy.
