6The Best It Can Be' The Girls' Pep Club, the largest club at SM East, once again gave full-time support to fall, winter, and spring sports. Halls decorated with Sock South, Whip Westj' and Swim to Win signs reminded students daily how ac- tive this year's Pep Club was. The Girls' Pep Club was headed by the Pep Club Ex- ecutive Committee, consisting of four sophomore, four junior, and four senior representatives. President lvlarthe Dreher, Vice-president Beckie Bickley, Secretary Susan Grier, and Treasurer Kelly Stratford served as officers, helping Pep Exec to lead Pep Club in promoting spirit. Duties and activities of the Pep Club were many. Aside from painting signs each week and planning numerous Pep Assemblies, the Pep Club sponsored Homecoming at half-time of the Homecoming game, the Sweetheart assembly and dance, and a disco-mixer after the East- South basketball game Jan. 7. Girls and boys both could be seen wearing the new rugby-style Pep Club shirt throughout the year. The Girls' Pep Club really instigated Lancer spirit. We dare you to step over that line 28!ACTlVITIES JAILBAIT
