Meeting outside of East, clubs included a small but enthusiastic membership. All clubs served the school as well as individuals, while channeling specified interests. The Chess Club and the Saddle Club provided extra- curricular recreation. Competing with other teams, the Categories Team and the Hot Gobbs brought glory to East, with novel awards.
