virualizing significance of the .rpoken word . . . With the start of a new year, decisions were prevalent among the Shawnee Mission teaching staff as well as the pupils under their authority. In an effort to solidify the stu- dent-faculty relationships, junior and senior high instructors met as the Faculty Associa- tion to examine new concepts of education. The meetings on the local level of the Association involved panel deliberations and guest speakers who presented the faculty with greater insight about their purpose and rede- fined their goals as educators. They adopted new policies of teaching procedure and modi- fications of curriculum, thus keeping the dis- trict schools up to date in the ever-changing realm of education.
