MLIGIG TOL! NE! 615 GRADE BAND BEGINNING BAND Shawnee's music program begins with a strong foundation in the 6th grade. Students in the 6th Grade Band have already played an instrument for a year. Several members of this band won first place in local solo and ensemble contests. 6th Grade Beginning Band students start playing their instruments this year. They perform in one concert in the spring.

SHA WIVEE SINGER! The Shawnee Singers, consisting of 12 sopranos, altos, and baritones, are selected through try-outs in the spring. Eight members of this select group are also in the Fort Wayne All-City Choir. The Shawnee Singers perform at the Northrop Choir Festival and compete in the ISSMA Organizational contest in addition to their two Shawnee concerts. GIRL! ' CHOIR Shawnee's Girls' Choir consists of 26 singers who sign up to be in the choir. They joined forces with the Shawnee Singers for the Northrop Choir Festival. Four of the Sth grade members participated in the ISSMA Organizational contest. The Girls' Choir treats us to a winter and spring concert. 6222 GRADE CHOIR 6th Grade Choir has 44 members who signed up to sing the preceding spring. This choir teamed up with the Girls' Choir to sing at Shawnee's Winter Concert and performed at ISSMA and the spring concert.

Ll! MTH SONG A BAND B BAND Ill' 7th and 8th graders participate in either A or B Band. A Band includes select players who have tried out for a chair. Many members from the A Band won firsts in area solo and ensemble contests. Both A and B Band perform in two concerts during the school yearg one near Christmas and the second in the spring.
