The boy's Varsity basketball team. coached by John Long and Ed Myer, got off to excellent start this year, winning their first seven games. From then on, they had their ups and downs, ending the season with l3 wins, I2 losses. No one expected them to do so well. Only two players will be graduating: Bob Fish, who did exceptionally well at point guard, and Alan Schweickherdt. the 6-foot-5 inch center, who became the first player in Shawnee history ever to dunk during a game.
