Senior Trip On iviarch 21, 1981, the Senior Class arrived at school at 4:45 in the morn- ing to begin the long-await- edtrip to Florida. Two l-lun- dred Forty-five students left a cold Philadelphia Airport to arrive in sunny Florida. After a full day on the water slides at Wet 'N' Wild, the Seniors and the 15 chaper- ones went to the Court of Flags Hotel - however, the luggage didn't arrive until several hours later. The next stop was Florida Festi- val where the class ate din- ner and listened to Flicky and the Tightropes. On Sunday, the Seniors went to Walt Disney World. A heavy rain fell in the after- noon and chased most of the crowd away. When the weather let up the Shawnee group had four hours to go on the rides with much shorter waits. The sun shone brightly on Monday, and the Class had another full day at Disney World. That night, the group went to Sea World for a Hawaiian Luau. lvlrs. Decker celebrat- ed her birthday and about 100 Seniors were taught the Hula. After the show, a disc jockey ran a dance party. The next morning, the Class ate their last breakfast of watery scram- bled eggs and packed for home. Qnninr Class Tr n!97
